People like good useful free information and by offering it to your potential subscribers you will build up a reputation for reliability they will be glad to sign up.

These then become people who WANT to know more about what you say, and if you haven’t bombarded them constantly with sales offers, they are more open to one when it does come as you have established a credible relationship with them.

Have a Free Informative E-Book To Give Away
This is a good means of getting more subscribers. Make sure that the e-book is of quality information, not just regurgitated crap or fluff.

Offer a Series of Free Reports
In a way, this is similar to the newsletter. Offer to help or teach your visitors about something they need or are having difficulty with, free of charge. This enhances your credibility as an expert in your subject, and can add to your list more rapidly.

This can also be about a subject related to your service or product. For example, if you have a program or software to sell, use the email messages to give information that is actionable (e.g. niche research) and illustrate how this can also be done more effectively using what you offer. In fact, use the steps of the system/program to provide the information.

The text you deliver gives them the steps for niche market research (our example), illustrate with screenshots that shows how it came about and how it can automate much of the work for them.

This is good pre-selling - your reader becomes more open to buy as they have a practical example before them of the benefits.

All you do is simply set the autoresponder for this campaign to automatically deliver your reports.

Give Away a Free Download
Free software is often very handy, and therefore folks like to get it - provided it is useful and genuinely will make their work become easier. For example, free opt-in page generators.

If you are selling software, an ideal incentive is to offer free ‘trial’ offers’. Of course, since you collected their e-mail address when they downloaded the product, you are in a position to make special ‘discounted’ offers for taking up the ‘complete’ version.
