Email Marketing - Planning Tips Which Will Save You Time

Hi Everyone, I hope you have a wonderful Easter break.

Besides the religious occasion it signifies it’s also the time of year when we decide on spending some special days with family and friends or simply get stuck into those long overdue chores we desperately need to finish around the house.

I remember one Easter I painted the boy’s bedrooms. My brain is telling it was only last year, but my wife, a bit more astute than me on these matters, assures me it was six years ago.

Well can you guess what she has planned for me to do again this Easter! (I am sure there is a game of football on somewhere.)

Never mind, the trick for me is to see if I can hold off until the June long-weekend and then hope it rains. “You can’t paint in the rain, Dear.” I can hear myself saying.

I know the boys will running out the door the moment she says, “Clean up your rooms we are painting this weekend.”

Seriously though, the rooms will be tidy, the painting will be done, and I even think there will be time for to watch a footy game.

Why?

Because it will all be planned that way.

Meticulous planning, brought about by a meticulous vision.

And it is this type of planning we should be looking at to market our businesses.

If you have not planned what marketing you are going to do for the rest of the year, then Easter is a great time to sit back, relax and think about it.

Then put pen to paper and get cracking.

And when you do, make sure you write it down.

The best way I know do this is first grab yourself a calendar. Print one out of Outlook on your computer if you need to. I like to print off monthly calendars and staple them together.

And I also like to you use the yearly planner in my diary.

It doesn’t really matter what you use, just grab a calendar and mark down the critical sales points of the year for your business. Look at when your best sales times are, mark them and then count backwards a month or six weeks and this will help you decide when you should start marketing.

Then decide how you are then going to best get your message to market. Whatever you decide, Email Marketing is definitely a media you should use.

It’s cost effective, quick, visual, gives you immediate feedback and is easily adaptable.

If you would like to learn how to go about email marketing then please contact me, I’d love to help. Maybe not this weekend though because I can see myself up a ladder with a paint roller in my hand. (Damn!)

Cheers and Great Selling
