Email marketing is a fundamental part of how to make extra money online. Affiliates use email marketing to email affiliate offers to the same customers for many years. To achieve this, a new affiliate needs to build up a relationship with the customer. It has long been known that if a person buys a product through someone once there is a high possibility that they will buy off that person again. The starting point of building this relationship is to get the name & email address of the customer by means of an affiliate squeeze page and then to build on the relationship and email affiliate offers to the customer which hopefully they buy.

To start with you need the initial contact, this is done by the traditional affiliate traffic methods of sending the customer to a squeeze page, tempting them with a free offer but only if they will provide you, the affiliate with the name and email address. If this part is successful, this is when the relationship starts.

Having given the customer a free gift hopefully you have already warmed up to the customer that you are a good guy to deal with. A couple of days later you need to start your email campaign. Once again it can help them by offering some sort of valuable information or maybe even call it a news letter. You can include an affiliate offer within the newsletter.

Within a few days you can then send them a new email with a link to a free video on the subject on the niche you are promoting once again you can include the same affiliate offers as before. On the next email say a week later you could include a survey. Ask them questions about the niche and get them to click on one of say 4 answers. There are web sites that you can link into that allow you to organize surveys.

As you can see you are building up a relationship with the customer. You may have not been successful with this product so it is time to move to the next. Another trick is to move onto a new product but build it up over a week or so with a series of emails. Then when you are ready, offer the them a deal that gives them a couple of free gifts if they are one of the first 50 to buy from you.

Once you have established the relationship you can then send the broadcast emails on the latest products that come on the market for years to come
