Are You Getting the Most Out of Your List

You have worked hard to build your list but are you actually getting the most out of it? My first mentor gave me the best advice about my list. He said “look after your list and they will look after you.” this is something you should keep in mind. There are several factors that you should consider when trying to get the most out of your list.

Firstly remember your subscribers are human in fact more than that they are your VIPs and should be treated like gold. To do this requires some thought.

• What subjects interest them? Try to write about things that are of interest to your subscribers. You will get more open rates this way and less people unsubscribing. When your readers enjoy your newsletter they will be more inclined to pass on your newsletter to friends and you will grow your list of interested readers.

• What offers are they interested in? It is no good offering your readers products and services that will not be useful to them. Do your research well and find products that will solve your subscribers’ problems and make sure that you have tried them. Even if the products are affiliate programs research them well before offering them to your subscribers. Nothing is worse than offering substandard products and services to your subscribers. This will diminish their trust in you and decrease sales conversions.

• Do not advertise too much: Your subscribers are not dollar bills they are people and should not be subjected to loads of advertising. Put a couple in your newsletter and do not send too many solos. You will get a far better response. The way to get the best response from your list when it comes to advertising is to down play the ads so that your subscribers get a pleasant surprise when you announce a new product or free gift for them.

• Do not forget your customer list: these people have bought from you before and if they have not asked for a refund obviously like what they bought. They are proven buyers and will often buy related useful products and services from you. Many marketers just sell to customers and then forget about them. If you do this you will be letting valuable loyal customers slip through your fingers and become your competitor’s loyal customers. Always let these people in on your latest offers and announcements.

These are just 4 ways that you can get the most out of your list. So do not just take your list for granted work with your subscribers and they will become your loyal lifelong customers.
