3 Reasons For Loving Unsubscribes

If you think like most new marketers, you probably fear logging into your auto-responder, only to discover that you have, again, list members that left your list, by unsubscribing. Well, I can tell you three good reasons that will help you to await getting unsubscribes.

1. You are really using your list. In my opinion, you don’t get unsubscribes only if you don’t send e-mails. If you don’t plan to use your list, why take the trouble (wasting time and effort) to build it. So, compliment your self whenever you get the unsubscribe because this shows you are really using your list.

2. Someone is actually opening your e-mail. In order to unsubscribe, people have to at least open the e-mails you send, to go to click the unsubscribe link. The bang-up thing is that your headline worked and got them to open your email. Now, if you are using deceitful headlines, (”You have won”, “Your account status”, and other lines like these) this is not a good thing and you will soon reap what you have sown. On the contrary, if you use a sound headline that corresponds to the content of your email and gets your e-mail opened, this is great. Your headline is actually doing its job.

3. It has to do with personality. I am going to give you a shocker (dripped with irony from the keyboard). It is very likely that not everyone is going to like you or your writing style. People that don’t, will leave your list. However, the bright side of this is that if they don’t feel for your style you will never establish and build a relationship with them. And, if you cannot build a relationship with them, it is most likely that they will never buy from you. Thus, each unsubscribe will make your list aimed at people who in reality like your style and are more likely to react favorably to your offers that meet their needs.

Now you have 3 solid reasons to no longer fear seeing that people have decided to leave your list. Rejoice, because you, in fact, are making your list stronger and more profitable for you in the longer run.
