Why Use Opt In Email Marketing ListsThe benefits of using opt in email marketing lists is phenomenal. For one the people who sign up to receive your emails are definitely going to be interested in what you have to offer. For any internet business model the one thing you are going to need is credibility. You, your company and everything you stand for in the business needs to show that you are caring for your customers and looking after their best interests. Opt in email marketing allows you to do this. It’s all in the marketing angle you take with your list of contacts. You could send out sales emails time and again but doing so will more than likely get you a very high unsubscribe rate. The best way to manage opt in email lists is to live up to the expectations of your clients and go beyond the call of duty. You are probably on a number of mailing lists yourself. For the ones you are subscribed to you can look over the emails you are receiving and you’ll be sure to see the value that you are getting. If there is none then you more than likely wouldn’t be on the list. Either that or your researching the market to see what others are up to with their opt in email marketing lists. I know I for one like to get a feel for a niche market at every opportunity I can. Email lists are one area that I like to opt in and see what the guys are doing and how I can improve on that. You may want to consider that yourself. Of course my business model is in the affiliate industry so that’s easier for me to do. If you’re running an online e-Commerce site selling your own products things will be much different for you. It doesn’t mean that opt in email marketing can’t be used. It will still bring extra revenue into your business provided it is done correctly. Thanking your customers for their orders, capturing the email address at the checkout process lets you contact them again in the future. You can then entice your existing customers back with promo codes and the like. You can also reverse sell things on your website. Build trust with your list by appearing busier than you might like to be doing. Instead of selling within an email you can contact your list to find out what they would like. An email going out saying something along the lines of due to popular demand X product is sold out currently. You are hoping to take stock at (specify date). Then ask for your customers participation to help you grow. Ask them what they would like to see when they visit your website. Interact with your list. Poll them, run surveys and the like. Don’t always be selling. Engage with the people on your list and they will be thankful that they opted in to your list and will remain there for much longer.
